If you’re one for the outdoors, then St. George is the place for you. Hiking is one of the town’s greatest pastimes, and the views certainly don’t disappoint.

Snow Canyon Overlook Trail – The Snow Canyon Overlook is a sight for sore eyes. No matter how many snaps you take on your phone, you won’t be able to capture the greatness of this view. Once you get to the top, you will feel renewed. If you want to experience the views and scenery featured in Katy Perry’s “Rise” music video, this is place.

Lava Flow Overlook – Here’s something fun and different! Those who are brave, should certainly visit here. Not only is this a scenic trail within the Snow Canyon mountains, but a new experience to see and go in lava caves.

You’ll want to make sure you have a trusty team by your side. To make the experience a real treat, make sure to pack some glow sticks. Once in the caves, break them open and see the colors explode!

Snow Canyon State Petroglyphs – Truly a picture worthy outing. Here’s a hike that isn’t difficult with a great reward at the end. The petroglyphs will have you mesmerized and possibly a little perplexed. If you want to keep some of the petroglyphs for yourself, pack some cardstock paper with graphite pencils and you can etch the petroglyph onto paper.

Cliffside Restaurant – If you want a meal with a view, Cliffside Restaurant will have you swooning. Pro tip: Make reservations for dusk, somewhere around 6 PM, and request a balcony table if the weather is nice.

Although, this is St. George. When isn’t the weather nice?

The sun setting on the desert bowl town is a magical experience. Another pro tip: get a side of fries for the table. They’re to die for!

Guru’s Bar & Grill – If you’re looking for something a little more rustic, perhaps more on the town’s country side of things, you’ve got to check out St.George’s newest sports bar and grill, right on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Bluff Street.

The high vaulted ceiling and wooden pillars will have you set in the most comfortable mood. The smells from the open displayed kitchen, as you walk in the front door will make your heart melt. You’ll be asking for more bread and butter before the hostess shows you to your table!

DUB’s BBQ – Looking for good barbecue? Look no further. Devey’s Urban Barbecue has been voted St. George’s best BBQ! And for good reason. Order up a pulled pork sandwich with a side of cajun fries.

You’ll be wondering why you haven’t been here before! Oh, and don’t worry about missing the big game- they’ve got you covered on all the walls!

Iceberg – After all the scenic meals, it’s time for desert! Where better to get your ice cream fix than Iceberg? Where a size small shake can literally feed the whole family.

If you want to feel the history of the town, come here. 60’s diner vibes with red leather booths and old Dixie State memorabilia will make put you make a few decades! The menu doesn’t just stop at creamy ice cream shakes, no sir. Burgers, fries, onion rings. The works!

Tuacahn Ampitheatre – There’s a reason they call it, “Broadway in the Desert.” Tuacahn will have you feeling all the feels whilst enjoying the gorgeous red rock that surrounds the theatre. Truly picturesque. However, the pictures won’t do it justice.

Simply enjoy it! The talent is phenomenal. You’ll be ordering your next set of tickets before you leave the parking lot.

Pickleball – Pickleball is fun for the whole family with multiple courts across the area. Friendly competition all while getting in a fun workout.

St. George Children’s Museum – Now this is a site. Whether you’re five or 50, you’ll surely get a kick out of the world created for children. There’s plenty to do and see and explore! You won’t be bored at this cute attraction.

What Can The Kids Do In St. George?

Thunder Junction Park – Thunder Junction Park is a great place for everyone! It’s an All Abilities Park, meaning that there is wheelchair accessibility. Instead of wood chips to soften falls, there are soft rubber matts in place.

There’s a waterfall and a train that goes around the whole park that both kids and parents can ride. What’s not to love!

Dino Tracks – Do the kids want to experience the realness of Jurassic Park? No need to fly to the amusement park. St. George is great for the little paleontologists in the family. Check out the Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm for a trip back eons to see what used to roam the desert of St. George.

Judd’s Store – Round up the fam and take them to Judd’s General Store. A true hallmark of St. George. Where the soda still comes in glass bottles and the soup tastes just as good as grandma’s.
